The CBA is pleased to announce that applications are now being sought for organisations to host community archaeology placements as part of the Community Archaeology Bursaries Project, which is supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund (www.hlf.org.uk), with additional support from English Heritage (www.english-heritage.org.uk), Cadw (www.cadw.wales.org.uk) and the Welsh Archaeological Trusts.

Under the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Skills for the Future programme (www.hlf.org.uk/skills), the CBA will run a Community Archaeology Bursaries Project (www.britarch.ac.uk/community/bursaries). This project will provide nine paid bursary placements per year in the specialism of community archaeology.

The CBA is now inviting archaeological and heritage organisations to apply for the opportunity to host these year-long learning bursaries.
