Northern Archaeological Associates - Site Assistant, Assistant Supervisor and Supervisors

The company is seeing a sustained period of growth and has a significant increased work programme for 2014. In order to meet this increase in demand we are currently seeking archaeologists at Site Assistant, Assistant Supervisor and Supervisor level to support a range of projects both for immediate start and over the coming months.

Site Assistant, Assistant Supervisors and Supervisors are required to work on a series of assignments related to excavations on the A1 Leeming to Barton upgrade at Catterick Roman town and other shorter term excavations/evaluations in northern England and Cheshire.

Site Assistants ( £ 16,762): Minimum of 6 months fieldwork experience preferred.

Assistant Supervisors ( £ 17,500): Minimum 18 months fieldwork experience preferred and experience of machine monitoring is essential.

Supervisors ( £ 18,231): A number of Supervisors will be required to assist Project Officers with the supervision of small teams in discrete areas of excavation and to assist with machine monitoring. Minimum 2 years experience of excavation preferred.
Successful candidates will be offered a 40 hour working week, fixed term assignment with payment being made weekly in arrears. Paid overtime will be required on some schemes.

Accommodation and transport to and from site will be provided.
CSCS card is an essential requirement for all candidates.

We would also be interested in archaeologists who are based within the North East, Yorkshire and Chester area who may not be available for work at the moment but who wish to be added to our list of approved archaeologists to contact as additional projects come on line over the next few months.
