A tale of two hilltops – investigating the later prehistory of the  Western Yorkshire Wolds

Mapping of cropmarks as part of the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (England) by Cathy Stoertz revealed interesting features at Nunburnholme Wold and Kipling House Farm, near Middleton on the Wolds.
Recent excavation at both sites has revealed fascinating insights into the later prehistoric landscapes of the Yorkshire Wolds.
