The Ancient Landscape of Whernside (Twistleton Scars and Scales Moor)

Sat 16 July 10.30–16.00

The landscape archaeology of Whernside. Explore the south east slopes of Twistleton Scars and Scales Moor with members of the Ingleborough Archaeology Group.

Meet in the parking area of Twistleton Dale House (£2 parking fee) SD 7178 7582 at 10.30am. Stout shoes and weather-proof clothing are essential as sections of the walk can be strenuous. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. Expect to arrive back about 4pm. The members of the ingleborough Archaeology Group leading the walk will be wearing high visibility vests. Dogs to be kept on leads at all times.

Location: Meet in the parking area of Twistleton Dale House. Follow Oddie's Lane (signed Mill Lae) out of ingleton to Twistleton Dale House.
