After three years service, Trevor Pearson of Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society is to step down as Chair of the Council for British Archaeology Yorkshire Group at the Annual General Meeting next Saturday (5 February 2011).
He has thanked the officers, trustees and affiliate representatives for their support since he was elected in 2008. During his period of office, Trevor oversaw the launch of the new CBA Yorkshire website, a new bi-annual newsletter, and several successful events for CBA Yorkshire members.
His replacement will be elected at the AGM on 5 February together with a new Programme Secretary. All other officers are standing for re-election.
Trevor will continue to serve CBA Yorkshire as Vice Chair during the period of office of his successor.
