Attached is the Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Archaeology Group Walks programme for the late summer bank holiday week and autumn half-term week 2012.

Walks include tours of the historic environment and mining heritage of both Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.

Unless otherwise stated all walks will start with a meet on Reeth Green at 9.45am (opposite the Gift Shop) followed by a drive to the start where necessary. Each walk should be about 3 hours duration. There will be a small charge with the proceeds going towards SWAAG's Swaledale Project work: SWAAG Members £3, Adults £4 and Under 16's free. Please bring exact money if possible.

SWAAG is a group of enthusiasts in the northernmost Yorkshire dales who are contributing to the knowledge base of the history of our dales through archaeological and related activity. SWAAG, affiliated with the Swaledale Museum, began work in July 2009 under the guidance and supervision of Tim Laurie FSA, the leading expert on prehistoric landscapes in the area.
