PONTEFRACT'S HERITAGE - Pontefract Civic Society Meeting Mon 23 May

Pontefract Civic Society is holding an important meeting regarding the Pontefract General Infirmary site next Monday evening: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF ST. RICHARD'S PRIORY, THE HERMITAGE, AND THE DISPENSARY IN PONTEFRACT'S HERITAGE.

Speakers include:
Eric Houlder (PontArch) on the excavations on the site between 1963 and 1989.
David Wilcox (Pontarch) on The Hermitage.
Adrian Pope (Pontefract Civic Society) on the general background, context, etc.

Venue: Carleton Community Centre, Carleton. Time 7-15pm. Admission free, with a donation towards refreshments. Parking is available on site or the roadside.
