CBA Yorkshire at the Driffield Show

On Wednesday 18 July the CBA Yorkshire team met lots of people interested in archaeology and the wider rural heritage at the Driffield Show in East Yorkshire. We were able to answer some good questions, such as "Why are archaeological remains always buried so deeply?" and "Where can I find local digs to volunteer on?". We were accompanied in the Rural Heritage tent by displays from CBA members East Riding Archaeology, East Riding Archaeology Society and East Riding Museums, as well as Southburn Archaeological Museum and the High Wolds Heritage Group. We're now looking forward to next year's show.
