The final YAHS lectures for the 2022-2023 year are due to take place
shortly.

On Saturday 10th June at 11.00 am, there will be a Family History
Section talk entitled ‘Workhouse Stories’.  This will be a hybrid
session at Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7 Woodhouse Square, Leeds, and
available via Zoom. Please also email Yvonne
Boutwood at info.prehist@yahs.org.uk if you plan to attend (to help
planning for catering).

On the same day in the afternoon there was due to be an online-only
session in the Medieval Section programme.  Regrettably, due to a clash
of commitments the speaker is not able to give the talk after all.
There will therefore not be a Medieval Section session that day.

The final YAHS talks of the season will be on Saturday 24th June, when
the Prehistory Research Section is having its Members’ Morning.  Please
note that this does not mean that the event is for members only!
Instead, it is when members of the Section talk about work they have
been involved in and any member of the YAHS or any affiliated society is
welcome to attend.  This will be a face-to-face meeting held from
10.30am until 12.50pm at Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7 Woodhouse
Square, Leeds LS3 1AD.

There will be three speakers:

YVONNE LUKE: A ‘Druid’s Circle’ between Ingleborough & Ribblehead: the
Sleights Pasture Monument Complex

11.10 – 11.30 tea/ coffee break

BLAISE VYNER: The cross-ridge dyke on John Cross Rigg, Fylingdales Moor

PETER HALKON: Kipling House Farm excavations

Finish 12.50pm
