Stuart, formerly Manager of the West Yorkshire Archaeology Advisory Service has specialised in rural medieval settlements, including the supervision of the Wharram Percy deserted medieval village excavations.

In this presentation, Stuart will be using place name evidence to explore aspects of Viking settlement in Yorkshire.
