Autumn 2019 Sheffield Heritage Forum (9th November)
Not to be confused with the FORUM Live! event that CBA Yorkshire are holding on the 23rd November.
The Autumn 2019 Sheffield Heritage Forum will take place on Saturday 9 November at Bolsterstone Village Hall. We have a fantastic morning lined up for you with lots of great content – and it’s FREE to attend so read on!
This autumn forum will include a rare screening of recently restored and digitalised vintage film of life in Hillsborough from 1930-1950. ‘Hillsborough Retale’ features May pole dancing, Sunday School queens, Whit Walks, camping, brass bands, the Star Walk. weddings and day trips to Cleethorpes; fascinating glimpses of life in a simpler age. You may recognise an ancestor!
With updates and presentations from the Bolsterstone Archaeology & local history group, Wardsend Cemetery, and the Sheffield Lakeland Partnership this is one not to miss!
Complimentary tea and coffee provided – plus an optional free guided walk around this historic village after the Forum ends at 1pm.

The Sheffield Heritage Forum begins with registration at 9.45, starts promptly at 10am and finishes at 1pm.

These biannual forums are organised by Joined Up Heritage Sheffield to provide networking opportunities in a relaxed environment, and a platform for the sharing of news and good practice for heritage professionals and anyone interested in the history and heritage of the Sheffield area.
Venue access – car parking in the square (Heads Lane) or catch the yellow tram from the cathedral to Middlewood then hop on the SL1 link bus to Cedar Rd and 10 mins walk from there.
