Reminder – Exploring the Landscapes of East Yorkshire conference, 6th April 2019
This conference is being organised by the Prehistory Research Section of the Yorkshire Archaeological and Historical Society, in association with the University of Hull and East Riding Archaeological Society, ERAS. This conference has been inspired by Tony Pacitto, a talented archaeologist (among other things) who was keenly interested in East Yorkshire’s archaeology.
The papers will focus on landscapes within the East Riding of Yorkshire and parts of North Yorkshire, reviewing techniques for revealing archaeological sites from prehistory through to the medieval period. There will be some new insights into Iron Age chariot burials and the later prehistoric settlement of the Wolds. Download a full programme here.
Unfortunately the conference is now fully booked, but it looks to be an exciting day for everyone concerned. More details of how to follow the conference online will be announced on the day.
